I recall the joy of searching the under the cushion of my father’s chair for loose change and finding the occasional dime or quarter. Of course, that was when soft drinks were 10 or 12 cents and jawbreakers were 3 for a penny. Good times!
And they’re wondering why every time the hang their clothes in the closet, their money disappears. Probably think it’s going to the same place as their socks.

My wife has gotten much better about not leaving money in her clothes. It’s been months since any turned up in the dryer.

I remember during the 1950s buying a 32 oz bottle of Hoffmans Cocoa Cream soda for a quarter and chugging it down.
