Just walk away, Annie. You can’t win against the " MOUTH".

The. Upboards are done, next is the wallpaper removal in the Master. I’m sure the two guys aren’t looking forward to that! If you want to know the cupboard color, it is Sherman Williams “Iron Ore” . They are gorgeous.

I agree that Chesney is a pest, but I would take a million dollars to take care of him. Heck, I’d even take the $100,000 to take care of him. Then I’d hope I wouldn’t regret it later when he orders a ton of shrimp tails to be delivered to my house.

    Today is:

NATIONAL RASPBERRY BOMBE DAY. This sounded good to me until I read the part about the rum. I’d have to have mine without the rum and I’d prefer not to have chopped nuts or candied fruit either. National Raspberry Bombe Day on August 11th recognizes this tantalizing frozen dessert. A raspberry bombe creates a beautiful finale to any summer meal. The dessert will be the centerpiece of your meal and tastes delicious, too!Throughout August, raspberries are ripening. That’s why this is the third raspberry holiday in the month. Who doesn’t love the sweet, juicy berry? And they’re even better frozen into a delicious dessert. A typical bombe contains sherbet, heavy cream, sugar, chopped nuts, candied fruit and a dash of rum. The dessert is layered using a spherical mold and frozen overnight. With raspberries as the main ingredient, the result creates a terrific centerpiece.

From yesterday’s comments to amethyst52 who asked if I got the stove in the house. Yep, the stove went in pretty easily and the old one is gone. But I still need to call an electrician to replace my 3 prong outlet with a 4 prong outlet before I can use the stove.

As for the couch, it’s going to stay out in the yard at least for a while. The day after my brothers found there was no way that couch was going in through my narrow back door, I was sitting in my lawn swing when one of the bars holding up the seat broke, so until I get that fixed, I’m sitting on the couch outside instead. I have another bar to replace the one that broke, but I need to find the right wrench to remove the bolt so I can put on another bar. I didn’t feel like working that hard the other day, So I’m just using the couch instead.

I forgot to mention that I had a chance to get another kitten on Tuesday night. As I was leaving work for the night, another associate (whose name is also Becky) was outside with a friend. The friend had the most adorable calico kitten – probably about 8 weeks old. Of course, I had to stop and admire the kitten. Then the friend asked if I would like to have the kitten. Of course I would! But I couldn’t take her. I already have 14 kitties since I have Annie and the 3 kittens. I don’t need to take on any more, much as I would like to. And I adore calico kitties!

Why, why why do parent wait until the day before school starts to get their supplies?? I had my list from the district donation guy and headed to WM. SO many adults, WAY too many kids in those aisles! Luckily, I could get most of my supplies from just two different aisles. I don’t usually wait this long to do it but time got away from me this year. I forgot the washable markers so will have to stop in again this weekend but it shouldn’t be so crowded. While I took one cart to do that, Brad took another cart to get the grocery portion of our shopping. We finished at the same time and there was just one person between us at the checkstand.

I picked up my first Christmas quilt from the shop yesterday and it came out really pretty, if I do say so myself. I have one more at the shop, along with my polka dots one and I’m just adding the sashing and borders to my third and final Christmas one today. I have one more to do but it’s more winter than Christmas.

Of the 4 panels in today’s toon, look at how Chesney’s expression fits the moment. GH is a genius (when he isn’t threatening to retire). Of the final 3 panels, I can’t decide which is the cutest/most endearing…….

LOVE that cat, no matter how obnoxious he usually is.

She should have been bopping him on his little nose while giving him a lecture.

You’re darn right she’s playing hardball, Chesney! This time you’ve pushed her too far! Next stop, the loading dock! On another note, saw a butterfly, a dragonfly, a chickadee, and a spotted towhee while out walking today.
