Gramma Evie: Arnold? Are you staying in Haiti until all 500 homes are finished? Arnold: Yes. Gramma Evie: Won't your family miss you? Arnold: The world is my family, Evie. Gramma Evie: It's a rather messy, unruly family, isn't it? Arnold: And yet I love it.
It sounds like maybe she made a decision in her mind before she went to Haiti, and now she’s fishing for information. My guess is that once she realizes that he’s here for the long haul, she will enjoy her trip with him and then leave without him.
