Alix: Why can't she be a stay-at-home Mom like everybody ELSE'S Mom?? Holly: Sara Thorsen's mom works...Linny's mom works...Meg's mom works...Camille's mom works... Alix: STOP. Holly: Mom's all over the WORLD work, Alix. Get over it. Holly: When you're done feeling sorry for yourself, Gramma said she'd take us to the movie. BLAT Alix: Once I get on a roll, it's hard to stop. Holly: BEEN there!!
One parent can stay home and raise the kids on an average income but you have to be a very good budgeter and money manager.
All moms work. Many have a job outside the home besides. Someday Holly and Alix will realize this.
