Stone Soup by Jan Eliot Holly: Hey ALIX...has Mom ever had THE TALK with you? Alix: No need. Holly: What do you mean "NO NEED"? Alix: When she had "the talk" with YOU...I was there, remember? Alix: Puberty? Personal hygiene? The facts of life? I heard it ALL. Holly: No FAIR. Alix: Are you KIDDING?! Alix: When YOU were 10, YOU were blissfully IGNORANT. Alix: But ME?? Weighed down with the burdens of womanhood BEFORE MY TIME. Holly: Wow. Alix: The upside is...I'm a HUGE hit at 4th grade slumber parties.
Heck, when I was 10 the school nurse came in, told us about both genders and didn’t even separate us.
