Joan: What's on the front page, Wally? Wally: Some sordid, sensational story about someone's personal life. Joan: Really? What? Wally: You know, this really bugs me. Stories like this just divert our attention from what really matters! Why isn't this story about corporate misconduct?! And all the people who've lost their retirement?! Or the true cost of military action? Or the states' budge crisis? Or the mass exportation of jobs over seas??? But nooo....all that's in the media is this...lurid trash. Grumble... Joan: So...you're done with this?
I’m just wondering how Wally knows about all that if it wasn’t in some type of news source.
