Stone Soup by Jan Eliot for January 24, 1999
Transcript:
Stone Soup by Jan Eliot Joan: What's with Alix? Val: The "popular" girl at her school had a party and didn't invite her. Joan: OUCH. Shut out at NINE. That's bitter. Val: Maybe YOU can cheer her up. Joan: Hey, Alix? What's the name of the girl who snubbed you? Alix: Cameron. Joan: OK, well, CAMERON is going to grow up thinking the world revolves around her. She'll find her way into country clubs, marry a rich guy, have two kids and a Lexus... Joan: Only to soon find herself depressed, dieting, facelifting and tucking, trying to hang onto the only thing she's had to carry through her life - her now-fading good looks. Joan: Feel better? Alix: Huh?? Val: I was thinking more along the lines of you taking her out for ice cream.
