Alix: Mom says you're obnoxious because of hormones and you can't help yourself. Holly: Cool, huh? I havea built in excuse for bad behaviour. I can be rude, self-centered, sulk, stomp around, and they think "Ohhh...poor Holly. She's going throught such a hard time." And I'm only at the beginning of my teens! THe potential is enormous!! Alix: Maybe Mom will let me check into a hotel until it's over.
Hormones are no excuse for horrible, selfish behaviour. It’s about learning to navigate the world in a kind and unselfish way DESPITE setbacks, whether hormonal or otherwise.
