Val: So when the prince showed up with the glass slipper, her friends all said "Cindy! If the shoe fits, wear it!" But Cinderella took a really good look at that rigid glass heel, and imagined life with the regal rug rats, and a prince gone paunchy. When she also considered living in a drafty castle with the queen of all mother-in-laws, she had royal second thoughts. Her fairy godmother whispered "community college," and the next day Cinderella packed her bags and enrolled in a women-in-transition program. Today's she's a successful decorator in Manhattan, and wears only flat, comfortable shoes. Alix: And the handsome prince?? Val: Still lives with mom. Tries on the crown now and then. Alix: Where do you get this stuff?! Val: I think I'm chaneling Princess Di's hindsight.
And in less than 11 months she is dead and Princess Diana never wanted to go to college nor did she have the brains to earn a single O level, but she was very kind to people.
And she only wore flats at the beginning so she would not stand taller than Chuck. Once their happily ever after was over she always wore heals to rise above any occasion.
