Marie Yovanovitch seems like a person worth knowing. If she pursues teaching at Georgetown, her students will be very fortunate to have her. What a contrast to Kellyanne Conway and Sarah Huckabee.

I suppose witness tampering will be added to the articles of impeachment. Given it was live and online and she said she felt threatened at that time, speaking to Congress as it happened, it’s rather hard to deny. In fact, you’d have to be delusional to deny it.

The only defense would be that Trump is too ignorant to understand what he was doing. Which isn’t a great defense, as has often been said, “ignorance of the law is no excuse!”

And not exactly a great look going into an election. Though I doubt that would make any difference to the 40%.

“Trump is too ignorant to understand what he was doing.”

There will come a day this will happen. Have you heard of the Ethan Couch story? This right up trump’s ally of excuses.

Probably won’t end up on Trump’s doorstep – the US Army will be taking measures to protect Lt Col Vindman and his family if needed. Ironic considering he started out his testimony by saying: “Dad, my sitting here today in the U.S. Capitol, talking to our elected officials, is proof that you made the right decision forty years ago to leave the Soviet Union and come here to the United States of America in search of a better life for our family. Do not worry. I will be fine for telling the truth.”

A witness has to reassure his father about giving testimony. Well, we all know how Trump feels about military veterans who do not do the Trump Kowtow, don’t we? Anyone remember the Gold Star family during his campaign? Anyone remember Senator John McCain? Of course, the Gold Star family were brown people so that’s all right to the AAPT (All Aryan Party of Trump, formerly known as the GOP), and Senator McCain was dying.

More like “witless tampering.” Though Benson captures Trump’s smug, bovine grin perfectly.

And yet this vile piece of corruption (in this case meaning putrefaction) will be listened to and kowtowed to in the Senate, not vilified and will not be held accountable. And then we’ll see who has revolutionary concepts in congress and the nation.

“It’s not witness tampering!” wheeze Republicans. “He’s just telling the truth!”

    .

And meanwhile, Nunes continues on about how Trump’s “basic human rights” are being trampled upon, of course without actually explaining how.

I’d have to say that this cartoon seems wrong: She certainly didn’t seem to be trimming her course to help his case (not that she could have). So how is she a puppet?
