“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." – Confucius
Do that a few days in a row and see what happens.
stop working for Shoe
My downfall was quitting high school. I ended up locked into a factory job for 30 years, still to young to retire when they closed the doors so I went to another factory for 9 years, and finally got a job as a janitor my last 2 years of employment. The 9 year stint seemed closer to 90, the work sucked just slightly less than the management. In the end it turned out the janitor job was the best. Ironically I worked at all three jobs with college grads, they was just as screwed as me. Maybe quitting school wasn’t my biggest mistake?
While that approach may provide temporary relief it usually ends up creating more when you return to find all of the backlogged work waiting for your return.
Sounds good to me!
I went one better, I retired. No stress at all.
Or maybe your “stress” calls in sick?! … just happened for me!!!
Having been in the journalism business myself, I can testify that it’s a career that offers many rewards — few of them financial. I understand the angst of the man talking to his shrink.
‘’Doc, you gotta help me. I clean up after the elephants at the circus. Every day, there’s at least a half a ton of poop. It’s never ending back-breaking work, and I can’t escape the smell. On top of that, the pay is lousy.‘’’’ Why not try another job?‘’’’What, and quit show business?’’
