As long as you don’t change the channel and we don’t report it, you’ll be just as well informed as ever.

Why do people mention Fox’s lies (which is a legitimate observation) but fail to mention MSNBC, CBS and CNBC’s lies?

Murdoch only gives people what they want. If you want sound reporting and quality newspapers, read the Wall Street Journal. Murdoch owns that, too.

Oh, big bad Fox News again! Fox News is bad!! It’s even, very bad!! Fox News should be SHUT DOWN, uh, because they tell the truth!!I love how liberals are always going after Fox. Do you see us conservatives trying to disembowel MSNBC? No, because Fox has the highest viewer ratings…

Not to mention that if you can get it for free when you buy a basic cable package. Gotta pay extra for the other stuff.

First hand information — data. You have it? Kick it out. Prove what you way. Should be easy, right? If — instead — you’re just defending your favorite “news” organization (and your choice to believe them)… shut up and take it as it comes.

The data suggest that media in this country lean to the right, not the left, despite the assertions disseminated by FoxNews. Fox decided to be partisan without admitting it, and the only way to claim they were “fair and balanced” when they were taking marching orders from the GOP, was to claim that everybody else was “far left.” Utterly untrue. Here’s a simple example that even you righties should be able to note: how many high-profile left-wing commentators do you know on major news networks? And how many right-wing commentators do you know on FoxNews? There’s Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann, and he got fired. Even seriously crazy people like Glenn Beck only got nudged off (and more politely) when his ratings went down…

“Although I would consider paying extra for my cable company NOT to carry MSNBC.”If you have the ability, do what I do. I have ALL of the cable “news” channels programmed out of my list of channels. They’re still there, but at least they don’t pop up when I flip through the channels.

Not sure how you do things in cableland, but when the girlfriend and I moved Sunny Isles we started off with the basic cable package. Fox News and CNN came with it but MSNBC and CSPAN (or whatever CNN channel it was) required a better package. Now we can afford to watch more programs but I’d prefer the BBC and other outlets NOT connected to the corporate American media.
