I’m sure R.J. would be happy to stop, Rip, just as soon as you stop replying to his questions with non-responsive answers.

Instead of wasting your breath trying to sound authoritative, while not actually providing any meaningful information to your listener, why not use your breath to increase your listener’s store of information about the subject at hand?

I hate those folks who talk at length without actually saying anything. The cherry on top is when they act as if it is my fault that no information was transferred as a result of their speech.
