Everyone understands that these are jokes right? I always see comments critiquing the actions of the characters as though they were real and their flaws were not intentional. It seems they want the characters to act normal and rational. Yes it’s an assinine and ignorant reaction, that’s why it’s funny. Do you really want to read a strip where they rationally and intellectually discuss the nuances??

Nixon didn’t have laugh in cancelled. In fact he even appeared on it, and has said that being on laugh in got him elected. I’m sure he was joking, but clearly had no problem with the show.

I don’t think any scientist has Ever tried to convince Anyone that all animals can’t see color. For one thing, humans are animals too. Obviously we can see color. Scientists don’t try to convince us we can’t. Most animals can. Some animals can’t, and some animals don’t see the full spectrum, much like being red/green color blind.

Gawd some people just have to try to make everything political. They really have to stretch too, to turn a cartoon and make it about Obama.

I agree about the acronyms being overly used. Lol doesn’t bother me TOO much if it’s in response to a joke. Although it should only be if it actually made you laugh out loud. Ha! Works equally well, is shorter and more of a real response. And you should only use ROFLOL. Should only be used if you are in fact rolling on the floor. Sadly I see LOL used in some peoples every post. Often several times in a single post on message boards. Often times when they are being entirely serious. I don’t think they even know what LOL means. “My mother died of cancer. Lol”

What’s funny is that restaurants use those to absorb the sound, to create a relaxing quiet dining experience, then they crank the stereo up so loud you can’t hear yourself think. Like the store I went to where the employee explained to me that they play the music loudly so people don’t loiter and they get them in and out fast. Then explained that they move the shelves and merchandise around to keep people in the store longer (looking for stuff) and that the longer they keep them in the store, the more they will end up buying. The really funny part was that they didn’t even notice that was contradicting.

I have to admit I have an inner rat. It drives me crazy when I’m upset with someone and they are carefree.
