I saw an older lady in a swim suit in the doc’s waiting room and it was 58 degrees that day. I figured she must be coming for a weigh-in and was not going to add an oz she didn’t have to.
When I saw the doc last month, I was wearing boots and a couple of heavy shirts. He said he wants me to lose 20 lbs before my next appointment in 6 months. 10 of those will be clothes.
I know that fully dressed I weigh 5 lbs more at the doctor’s office than I do sans clothing at home. So, I just adjust it in my mind. I don’t really care what the doctor thinks.

Between shoes, big belt buckle, leatherman, keys and change, I probably carry an extra 5 pounds.

A local clinic uses kilograms instead of pounds.

Shoes and belt buckles, indeed. I’d remove my upper plate if I thought it would make a difference.

I usually take off the jacket, the shoes, the keys, the phone, anything that can come off without indecent exposure charges.
