Pig’s cluelessness to the source of bacon is reminiscent of the 1949 Porky Pig short “Paying the Piper,” in which a rat disguised as a cat keeps razzing Porky about his relatives, e.g. “Eh, your sister smokes corn silk!” to which Porky confusedly replies, “No, she doesn’t. She works in a butcher shop and smokes hams!” Disturbing implications…
