We did have some good voting rights laws, but the United States Supreme Court said that they weren’t needed, and trashed them. What chance have we, when the courts are PRO-NAZI? Excuse the caps.

The “Republican” party as a proactive agent of democracy ended with Nixon’s “Southern Strategy” which welcomed the Dixiecrats and non-establishment “christians” and has — as an authoritarian agent — been intensified by QAnon and the former “president”.

I am putting in a 16 hour day next Tuesday to work the Virginia Gubernatorial Democratic primary election… We have to stay on site from an hour before the polls open for set-up until an hour after closing, and can’t leave the polling place at all. My poor dogs will have puppy pads and puzzle balls with kibble and treats. I voted early yesterday because I will be at a different precinct than my voting site. Other than having to be there at 5:00 a.m. and my dog situation, I am looking forward to this! I’ve never done it before, but my school was a polling place, and I would chat with the election officials on the off years, when turn-out was light. It is an important duty. (I don’t mean to be self-righteous.) Getting up before 4:00a.m. YUCK… not self-righteous! Dog messes… quadruple yuck… payback for sounding self-righteous! :-)

‘The scale of delusion is startling’: Conservative says Trump’s belief that he’ll be reinstated is real — and worse than you think

“I can attest, from speaking to an array of different sources, that Donald Trump does indeed believe quite genuinely that he — along with former senators David Perdue and Martha McSally — will be ‘reinstated’ to office this summer after ‘audits’ of the 2020 elections in Arizona, Georgia, and a handful of other states have been completed,” Cooke writes, adding that Trump is trying journalists, politicians, and others to promulgate this belief.“The scale of Trump’s delusion is quite startling,” Cooke writes. “This is not merely an eccentric interpretation of the facts or an interesting foible, nor is it an irrelevant example of anguished post-presidency chatter. It is a rejection of reality, a rejection of law, and, ultimately, a rejection of the entire system of American government.”
