I see these types of non-arguments put forth all the time. The “if it can’t be perfect, we shouldn’t do it at all” argument. It’s such a logic fail to put forth that doing some, slightly imperfect good thing is the same as doing nothing good at all.

Even baby steps begin to add up for constructive progress in individuals who continue to add to what they have learned (which moves people past baby steps), and as a consequence improvement increases for the community as a whole.

It is important to not be derailed by all-or-nothing self-worshiping trolls with their destructive ways of trying to derail anyone who is working at constructive improvement.

Yes, trolls on Go Comics use the undesirable behaviors of trolls outside the internet, too. I sometimes wonder how they deal with their lack of appeal to others, or if they are so wound up in themselves that they do not even notice.

Luckily, most people want to take constructive actions in life once they have a chance to learn what those actions are. Not everyone can utilize every approach, but having each do what she or he can does make a positive difference.
