While I was never really a fan of his while in office my respect for him after office and in later years grew substantially. One of the last few presidents though who acted and spoke presidentially and showed some class in the office.

This is the cartoon that his granddaughter, Jenna Bush Hagar, is sharing. Very nice tribute.

Stevefk – I was a strong supporter of President Bush, and like you my admiration grew after he left office. Family was primary for him and that love and compassion was reflected in his public actions. He was not one for the limelight. He did not have to be the focus but rather focused on what had to be done.He so dearly loved Barbara and she him, I am so glad they are together again, and with their daughter. It is said that her death was so traumatic that it caused Barbara’s hair to turn white seemingly overnight.

In my opinion one of the most prolific Republican presidents of all time, thank you.

I’m reminded of a line from a movie: “Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make history.”

Thanks, Lt. Thanks, Mr. President. Thanks, George.

Do traitors that made the hostages in Iran wait until after the election to be released go to heaven? By the way, there is no heaven.

Well, he may have murdered thousands but he was an American and all Americans go straight to Heaven. Had he been an Asian or an Arab or an African and murdered thousands, he would have gone straight to Hell.

A quick review of his career shows not a single thing he ever did that I liked or supported, but at least the Republican presidents since his time in office have managed to cast him in a much more flattering, less fascist/racist light. What a guy to mourn. I find it hilarious that supposed Christian’s believe a rich warmonger would go to heaven, but I suppose that just goes to show most Christian’s don’t understand the principals of the religion they profess to follow.

“I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
