There wouldn’t be so much pain if the fossil fuel companies and their tools, the republicans hadn’t been working so hard to block renewable energy for so long.

Lisa is gratified by the amount of pain Big Oil is willing to inflict on America.

    .

It continues to astonish how hard Trump Disciples fight to prevent billionaires and patriotic multinational corporations from paying taxes.

Pre-Brandon, our energy policy was “Oil, nuclear, wind, and solar”. Now energy policy is “Wind, solar, and pixie dust”. Democrats want to bet our future on energy sources that may or may not materialize. If they don’t materialize, these children are well practiced in blaming everything on DJT. Time to take the keys away.

I had solar panels installed, so have some of my friends and neighbors, and slowly but surely more of my friends are driving hybrids or electric vehicles. At some point I will too. Ford just announced an all electric F150, and more companies are announcing changes too. Adapt or die…

With the advent of the industrial revolution, steam-powered textile machines took over in Britain; which put many people out of work and started the Luddite movement.

In the United States, the industrial revolution put many family farms and small operations out of business because extra workers went to the cities for work. However, their income from the factories did not allow a healthy lifestyle in the cramped, urban environment where it cost more to live.

There is always pain when the economy shifts; there are winners and losers. The winners are flexible and can adapt to the new reality, the losers have a xenophobic reaction to the unknown. We are literally killing the planet with carbon fuels and lifestyle. We need to evolve if the human species will survive.

Who makes 90% of the worlds’ solar panels and controls the majority of the market for precious metals used in battery manufacturing? That’s right, China, who currently makes more than 80% of their energy from coal! Wake up, America.

My wife and I just upgraded our cell phones. There were some problems. There’s my wife hollering “technical support” repeatedly to the uncomprehending recording. There’s me walking 100 yards from the house to test. There’s the four calls it took to resolve issues.

Change is painful. Every change involves frustration, adaptation, and adjustment. But change is necessary and inevitable. And BTW the phones work fine now.

That’s the kind of conservative ignorance drawing our country backward against the rest of the world. Our country is supposed to be intellectually and progressively ingenuity-driven, leading in strength of character. What this oil worship christian conservatives are trying to force on us is a reminder we need to take back intellectual control of our country. Vote Blue.

If we had buckled down in the 70’s and worked on renewable energy the way we worked on space flight in the 60’s and the war effort in the 40’s, fossil fuels would be little more than a novelty, like whale oil.

But Loony Lisa doesn’t understand any of that, and being an economics dropout doesn’t realize the economic potential for developing, manufacturing, and marketing renewable energy.

Mayor Pete is so braindead that he said pain is good as it will translate into more people buying EV cars. Pete – News flash, Genius. We don’t have the infrastructure / electric grid, nor can 3/4’s of the population afford a $70,000 ev. I swear – do we really need to point this out? Are you that far removed from reality?

Renewable energy, the Green New Deal, are all means toward a more successful and more dynamic economy. There’s money to be made in EV’s, solar panels, wind and hydro generators, tidal generators, and even thorium reactors. And all of them will go a long way toward reducing CO2 levels while we put people to work and make more money.
