Science always has to change with new information. Put them on the spot and they are forced to make blanket statements that they later must retract when they get more facts. Again, don’t shoot the messenger, he is only human.

“It will be gone by April”. “Only 5 cases and soon it will be down to zero”. “Maybe we can inject a disinfectant or use UV light in the body”. “I take no responsibility”. Etc.

Yeah, those aren’t lies. Those are statements based on the best information at the time. BTW “don’t wear masks” was actually “only the infected should wear masks” which changed to “everyone” when it became clearer that infection could be asymptomatic and community spread was high.

As for the lab: Fauci said that it was evident that the virus was probably not man-made. Still, it is possible that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was studying the virus, and then it escaped from there. POSSIBLE.

Still not sure why Fauci should be interrogated over funding that he doesn’t appear to be responsible for.

Even when taking Fauci’s comments out of context, and refusing to acknowledge how he updated his comments as we learned more about the virus and how to deal with it, this “Pinocchio nose” would have been shorter if Trump hadn’t interfered and tried to dictate what he said…

Sometimes I want to just put his hands into a machine vise and not stop until the jaws meet.

There is more evidence of collusion between Dr Fauci and Commie China than there was between Trump and Russia. Where is Mueller when you need really need him?

Faucci made it clear from the beginning that they were constantly learning, that new data changed expectations and advice, and that there were at the time (still) no hard set answers to many of those questions. Sadly, too many right-wingnuts failed to grasp the concept.

Fauci has decades of scientific experience with infectious diseases. Why, when the Chinese have understood the need for masks and social distancing for similar decades has Fauci needed to learn all of this anew? This pandemic has been sadly mismanaged by all of our “leaders.”

The long and short of Dr. Fauci?

The COVID-19 Denier-in-Chief { remember 575,000+ premeture deaths } and his gullible MAGAts have decided that lying about Dr. Fauci is their new “rallying cry!”

Dr. Fauci has been working on infectious diseases under seven presidents (from Reagan to Biden). He has seen this virus evolve over time and (along with the CDC) have changed their message as the new data has come in. Plus he had to deal with being under President Trump, who initially thought Covid was a “Chinese hoax”, then said the virus would magically disappear. Perhaps, if Hillary Clinton had won the electoral as well as the popular vote in 2016 as was thus President, she might have initiated a national lockdown early on (similar to China and Italy) or at least might have heeded China’s warning back in Dec. 2019 that Covid was serious and the rest of the world (the US included) needed to start preparing for it. She certainly wouldn’t have disbanded the pandemic task force Obama set up during the Ebola outbreak in the US like Trump did after taking office. But that was not the case and we have all played the hand we were dealt. So, we are continuing to vaccinate Americans and we are sending Covid aid to the countries where the virus is still surging (India, Brazil, etc.) and we have a great opportunity to repair our battered image abroad.

Oh, this is going to get good and the Fauci e-mail revelations are just beginning. I’m tempted to start a lottery on just when Fauci will be cut loose and tossed under the bus by Democrats and the Marxist left. The gun is smoking and I’ll bet real money one of the bullets that will end Fauci’s career will be the fact that he surreptitiously turned the funding back on to that Wuhan lab which Obama had terminated and then President Trump also ended when it was brought to his attention. We’re already seeing Democrats, politicians and scientists running for cover and distancing their selves from Fauci.
