Reminds me of a Robin Williams line: "My kid’s gonna do to me what I did to my father. He’ll look me straight in the eye and say, ‘God, Dad, you’re f___ed. And my father will be standing right behind him going, ‘Yes! Yes! Revenge is mine!’ "

Should I feel left out if my kids were really fun to raise? There were very few moments I didn’t enjoy.

I mentioned this to my mother MANY years ago and long after I was an adult and she swore she never said that she hoped I had kids just like me. I remember it like it was yesterday and that may have been part of why I was never interested in having children. BTW, Mom passed several years ago and I am still childless and have no regrets about it. :-)

When my kids tell me about their kids, I say you and your sister did the same things to me……LOL

It is the same when the Aunts and Uncles with no kids give gifts and THEN have kids. The revenge gifts start coming “Louder” than the ones you gave.

Friends’ parents used to tell them the same thing. Then they wondered why my friends decided not to have kids . . .
