Zonker: "Through wind and rain et al... I boogie through my appointed rounds!" Man: Special delivery?! For me?! Zonker: Yes, Mr. Halsey. It's from your Aunt Bessie in Virginia. It's sad news, I'm afraid. Man: "Dear nephew, all is not well here. Last week, during the hurricane watch, Uncle Albert sat out on the porch, eating apricots and waiting for the gales that never came. As the wind died, so did Uncle Albert. Grandmother called the emergency liason, and the men came and took him to the hospital, but nothing much came of it, I guess... there is some dispute over the will. Please come at once, or all will got the humane society. Your loving aunt, Bessie." Zonker: Mr. Halsey, on behalf of the U.S. Postal Service, may I just say how sorry we are to bring you such grievous news. Man: Well, Al and I weren't that close, but thank you, Zonker. Zonker: You're welcome, sir. Man; Now, about the August postmark... Zonker: I thin the important thing is that we care, sir.
Far and away my favorite strip from Zonker’s Postal days.
