If Horace turned the camera around the other way to face the Sun, with the shutter and the rear cover open (if it was a film camera), he could keep their food warm. :-)
I’d love to photograph food more often; I’ve done it occasionally when it’s plated and sitting on the kitchen counter, with the early eveing sun providing a warm back-light… Makes food look as good as it tastes.
I don’t understand why some people post pictures of their food on the Internet. I don’t really care what national leaders or (in)famous celebrities are eating; why should I care what you’re eating?

A long lens needs a monopod or tripod or you will see blur on the enlargements.

I mostly just take photos as a record for my various eating plans, but special dinners on my best dishes can be rather photogenic.
