When I was a kid we often had breakfast food for dinner only we kids didn’t know it because we only ever had cereal for breakfast. Later I found out my mom was doing that to save money.

Sometimes, after a night out partying, we would head for the local all night waffle place. (local, non-francise)There is nothing like eggs and bacon or waffles after dark.

I used to despise breakfast for dinner when I was a kid. Don’t know why. Now I love it. Especially pancakes with lots of butter and sugar, then rolled up and eaten like a burrito. Yep. That’s what I’m having today :)

I never liked cereal all that much because it wilted too fast. The last kind I could enjoy were the whole wheat chex type. When I stopped using sugar on most things, I could still enjoy those with some good buttermilk bleu cheese (or Triskit crackers – and especially the ones with rye flavor and blue cheese). With me it’s always been about FLAVOR! I want to really enjoy things!
