It looks like Corey, Phil, and Joe don’t find out the facts before they get all upset. The facts about the privatization bill is that it does not affect anyone over 55.

Good thing Shrub didn’t get that privitization thing in before the big banks melted the economy. And when you have paid max into SSI and Medicaid for 25 years, it’s fracking annoying when somebody calls these benefits. If GOPers want to privatize, write me a check for my contributions.

I don’t think I’ll be trusting Goldman Sachs with my cash in the near future.

Except that privatization will not affect current retirees. It would make the program survivable, put more money in the pockets of young people when they retire and be a boon to the economy. Anyone with a basic understanding of math and economics should be able to see this.

And YOU need to get your facts straight. It was LBJ and the Great Society that started the raid on the Social Security Trust Fund.

I agree that it is OUR money they are spending. I am 68. I am STILL paying into the Social Security trust fund. However, don’t blame Ronald Reagan. It was YEARS before all the way back to LBJ. I was paying into Social Security when he was president and saw it on the news where LBJ started the raid.

In effect, Social Security payments to the Federal Government are a loan that pays NO interest. If they were simply FDIC insured savings accounts, all of us on Social Security would be getting much higher benefits. Liberals want to continue to take use our money and pay no interest, so they tell lies about privatization. Don’t believe the lies of Obama and his fellow socialists in the Democrat party!!!

I can rightfully add myself to those singers! Everyone who is lucky enough to survive this long gets OLD! “Would you throw us in a ditch, because we ain’t rich?”

Sorry, but you are wrong. Congress has been feeding the American public BS since the SS program was first conceived. It is and always has been a Ponzi scheme that could fool people as long as workers/contributors greatly outnumbered the retirees. Now that the ratio is 1:1, it can’t possibly work. Furthermore, Congress has long been using the contributions to pay for daily operating costs, and replacing those contributions with worthless IOUs!

Oh, yeah, watching the government suck out TRILLIONS of stolen dollars out of Social Security is the right message. Get a clue!

Screw Social Security. I realised YEARS ago that the demoRATS were going to steal the place blind to buy votes from the parasites on welfare. I started investing on my own, a little at a time. Yes in the EVIL Wall St. My retirement account now is well over a million dollars. My return on my investments has averaged about 15 percent, while the “return” on SS is about 1 percent. Oh, I will take the SS checks when I retire. I will invest it in the stock market.
