I now fall into the “bottom 43%” and I pay taxes. Less than when Pres. Bush was in office, but still I pay income tax on my retirement.

i doubt mormon mitt paid 13%. with his wealth, he could have hide it in accounts offshore(caymans), swiss, donations to his “church,” etc…with our screwed up tax code, one just moves money around, hide it, and one can pay 0% in taxes and get a $$$ refund from the us govt

didn’t Romney mean he paid an average 13% EFFECTIVE rate? If you want that effective rate, then donate to church and charity the same amount that Romney gave in order to get that effective rate.

Well, at least Romney used his dad’s friends and influence to MAKE some money, in a “marginally morally corrupt, but not illegal” “business”. “W” managed to use his dad’s friends and influence to go into business not once but TWICE, and bankrupt oil companies, something that’s nearly impossible, and then he moved on to an entire nation!!
