I know how Arlo feels. The other day, I asked my 28-year-old son if he could break a twenty. He reached into his pocked and pulled out a roll with at least two one-hundred dollar bills, several twenties, and fianlly down to the stuff with which to make the swap. I remember being 28 and going months on end without ever having a twenty in my pocket. Maybe I am Arlo and my son learned not to make my mistakes.

bwana: They won’t need to come for it. They just need to wait 20 more years until no one in the country knows how to make anything (including the machines to make things), then refuse to sell anything to us and we all die of starvation and ignorance.

This is certainly like my son and I. Now at 40 he’s a Senior VP for Microsoft, lives in a million dollar home with his family. When I was 40 I never came close to that and haven’t since. He now helps me out financially as needed due to my age and health issues and no work.

What do mean when the Chinese come? We are in a well of debt so deep we can’t see the light of flat broke, and we continue to dig deeper. China is the superpower of the world, and we put them there. They have the world’s greatest trade surplus, and we have the world’s greatest deficit. China doesn’t need to do anything we are already there. Global Economy BS, this is simply buying more than the money we make. It is spending beyond our means.

China: Who would have thought a bunch of Commies would make such good capitalists?…But, it IS going to cause a middle class. Freedoms has always come through the demands of the middle class….That means trouble for the Chinese leadership. The Goddess of Democracy isn’t dead, she’s just invisible, right now…..
