Dill the Wise.

Good choice, even if it is sort of creepy.

Nothing like a potato gun to make you really miss someone.

Alice’s porch=safe haven for Dill. And his friend Alice is a pleasant bonus that seems somehow connected with Alice’s porch. —Just as Dill’s brothers are connected to “potato gun.”

The potato gun is life and everyone needs an Alice’s porch. And unlike Alice’s restaurant, you can even get a little Alice.

The potato gun has a limited range? Surely you can use that to your advantage, Dill.

Alice and Dill belong together. At least as life-long friends.

One of my favorite strips ever!

I just started a list of where my belongings, including my spud guns, should go when I leave this vale of tears. Assuming my sons don’t want them or they are prohibited. There’s my Night Lighter 36 made of clear PVC which is spectacular when fired; my double barrel used to fire “tracers” made from foam paint rollers and glo-sticks; and my regular with the interchangeable 1.5, 2.5 and 4 inch (Used for TPing trees) barrels. I’m still working on a spud Gatling gun.

An ’Awwwww" moment.

@ cdward & merbates – I’ll second both your sentiments. Hate to see this stip end but wish all things good for Richard Thompson.

I will also miss this strip. Thoughts and prayers to Richard Thompson.

Just read the very sad news about my favorite strip ending and the worst news is the reason: Richard Thompson’s Parkinson’s disease is the cause. I feel so sad for the loss of his talents and for the battle he faces in the days ahead. I pray that the illness can be halted in his life time.
