Now THAT IS “nature’s law”!! And the devil invented coupons to bring the fastest line to a dead halt!

I pick the line with the most men. They are more likely to pay cash and less likely to write checks for $4.

It’s slower when you get behind the person who argues that the item that rang up 99 cents was supposed to be 97 cents. I’m always tempted to say, Look, here’s a nickel, can we just move it along now?

most retail stores time the cashier per transaction. the slowest ones are moved or replaced. They are just as bothered by time delayers as the rest of us in line. I dont see why sthaler blames it all on the girl in the toon.

My pet peeve is the people who use the express lane with far more than the posted number of items. I’m not referring to people that are only a couple of items over. Unfortunately there are a number of people out there that seem to think that 20+ items are the same as 10. I’ve also never come across a store manager that would actually enforce the posted limits.

Morty: I do the same when I absolutely HAVE to make the run to the market. It does help.

Darren, I’m reminded of the gal who did the same, after holding the line up for almost 20 minutes (only one cashier), then went outside to her car, which she’d left idling for the whole time, and probably burned twice as much money for gas as what she saved with coupons. But that brings up another issue of “American waste not, want not.”

Now, Radish, don’t be raggin’ on Costco. Last year, they had a really great deal on Christmas trees. -The only drawback was that I didn’t know what to do with the other two.

^hint, not EVERYTHING in our culture is “political”, or a battle cry to campaign.
