Coming back from the beach one nite a car pulled in back of me with brights on. I sped up to get to the 4-lane so he could pass. Turned out it was the town deputy and he pulled me over as soon as I sped up. That wasn’t the worst part. The town marshall, who I knew, just laughed when I came to pay the ticket.
I can proudly say that while I have gotten lost a few times, I never asked for directions. Though my wife may have yelled out a few times while stopped at an intersection.

Once. The car I was driving was such a clunker I honestly didn’t think it would go that fast. In an odd way, I was rather proud of that ticket.
