Our foreign allies are usually happy to let American taxpayers fund the defense of the western world. BOTH parties are too beholden to our defense industries to make a realistic assessment about how that’s a terrible long-term deal for the US. In the case of Romney, he can’t even claim to be a self-made business titan let alone understand foreign policy.
