….and Morin nails it again! Why I like his ’toons: he shows it like it is, and very straightforward.

Darsan? I agree with you. I just had that argument with my Conservative Republican Mom. Result: tie, I think…. ; )

You want a rational disscusion? Fine. Find me a constitutional argument against same sex marraige. Since we are a constitutional republic, we should decide our laws based on the constitution.

Chick-fil-A’s CEO has a big mouth. Blowing off about such things as social issues is NOT good for business! Somebody is going to be pissed. Somebody is going to think you’re God’s gift to earth. It’s divisive . Anyway you go you’re losing customers. I bet his ad agency is pulling their hair out. As far as Boston, It’s a very liberal city. The majority most likely backs the decision. So What! Build your chicken sandwich stand outside the city limits.Bill Golden

“… If anybody disagrees with what a liberal wants to do, then that person gets labeled, racist, sexist, etc.”-Slapping labels on someone or a group you disagree with is hardly exclusive to liberals. Certainly you’ve read others on this forum toss out the terms ‘socialist’, ‘Marxist’,‘Maoist’,etc. I don’t think that those are conservatives doing their own labeling.

What if the caption were: “Let me tell you what we think of African-American marriages!” What would happen then? Only this homophobe would actually be using the “n” word because (most) all homophobes are also racists.

It’s odd that the head guy, (owner,CEO, somebody) died near this time. But I haven’t heard that the government wants to ban them. Sure, they are bigoted but then so are most republicans these days. I used to be a Repub, but they got WAY TOO into radical ideas on social issues. I don’t think what people do at home unless it is domestic violence or child abuse.

How would I feel if the CEO of a food(?)-chain came out against inter-racial marriage? I’d be pretty upset, and I would surely participate in a boycott, and I would probably join a picket line. Would I want the mayor of my town to condemn the CEO’s position? Sure. Would I want the mayor to try to prevent the chain from opening up in my town? That’s less clear, but I’d be open to argument from both sides.

Humans can not procreate within their own gender. a man can not be a mother and a woman can not conceive by another woman. Marriage comes from the latin Matre (mother) monium (verb or act of). How can someone (BE ) a mother without conception? the answer is a dichotomy of blasphemy and ignorance.

The issue of of adoption stands only for those that have made a sacrament of marriage. In a sacrament the unions goal is to result in matre. there has been many miracles of infertile ppl conciving. NONE of same sex conciving

It is NO ones business who you partner with but, you can not take away definitions that are sacred to someone. Homosexuals need to find a different word. it is literally taking a creed and changing the definition.
