Actually this accurately reported. However, the happiness seems to derive from their policies being enacted. They feel they are winning as others are losing. Liberals are unhappy because they see enourmous problems which need attention and solutions, but a large portion of the population wants to ignore them or make them worse. Conservatives see themselves as underdogs who are winning.
They don’t sound happy because they’re only happy when attacking someone weaker, or stealing from banded groups of little people. They get flattered, have been for forty years by their media, hence unhappy when anybody dares tell them that their Emperor ain’t got no clothes…and can’t run anything more than a knife-sharpening shop. A very small one. Incompetents, and unhappy because there aren’t any welfare moms they can stomp.
Tiggre 1 sounds like a conservative the way he is talking about lieburrals and the media and the emperor with no clothes, etc. Lieburrals want to create more welfare moms. They are the voter base that keeps them in power.
I want to answer this without taking either side.I think it’s because conservatives, by definition, like things the way they are. Progressives, by definition, want things to change, so are not content with things the way they are.
And yet they work together a lot. I guess they’re both “moderate.”As for the happiness quotient, I learned that finding years ago. Even when Democrats are in power, conservatives are happier overall than liberals. And while religiosity helps, it is not the prime reason.
Another reason for the difference is because conservatives are more “religious” than liberals. Faith helps give life meaning. (Not that secularists don’t have “faith,” after all, since many naively think humanity can eventually create a utopian world.)
Conservitives tend to be happier, or to be more accurate, more Joyful because we tend to be focused on a higher outcome. Happinss comes from Happenstance, whereas Joy comes from God.
