Whoosh! Knocked off her feet for the third day in a row; it’s about time Broomie wises up and takes defensive measures against this NOISY kid! —Not entirely off-topic, we had wind gusts up to 64 mph this morning as thunderstorms roared through Chicagoland….

Her voice would give the local idiom “blown away” a whole new meaning…

Nobody thinks this might possibly be in bad taste this week?

Although I realize that newspaper deadlines for this strip were probably well before the Aurora tragedy, I have seen other comics scrubbed at the last minute when sensitivities were involved.

So, I’ll just say, “Too soon, Broom Hilda.”

Well, well, well. I see a different strip is now posted. I loves me some GoComics censorship!

Earlier today my daughter spoke gruffly to our dog, saying no, stop begging, etc…, and I called her Brun Hilda, Said Guten Tag Frauline. Of course she didn’t know what I was talking about but my wife and I thought it was funny. Ok, I guess I offended Germans and dogs, my apologies to all the German Shepherds out there. BTW Brun Hilda means “Ready for war”. (googled it).
