Mention of Nixon sort of remiinds me of the wart in the Freeze Away commercial: “You’ll miss me.”

I love the way the Republicans on this list defend Bush by claiming Obama is worse. Bush/Cheney sank a growing economy, got us into two wars that not only did not make us safer but also massively increased our debt AND increased Al Queda recruiting, set up secret meetings to decide oil policy with Ken Lay of Enron and Saudi oil barons…wow, the list goes on and on. Obama on his worst day can’t compare.Nixon, as I see him, is a man with a tragic flaw. He had enormous ability and potential, but his paranoia and unfriendliness undermined it. He accomplished an astonishing number of things, and messed up a number more.

“LORD Bush Ears W”, and the really nasty, “Doctor Evil Dick” Cheney, make NIxon look positively BRILLIANT, HONEST, and CARING. Nixon and Henry kept the Viet Nam war going for longer than LBJ, and made MORE profit for corporate interests during that extension of the war. “W” and Cheney started TWO wars on the wrong people, killing hundreds of thousands, and made those wars more contractor friendly than any administration in history. THAT includes the French, who used the foreign legion mercenaries, who were pikers when in came to making profit off death.

Cheney was in Congress at the time and voted against impeachment of Nixon on the grounds that the president was above the law — that if the president did it, it was not illegal.

Trent Lott, who led the Senate prosecution of Clinton was also in Congress at the time and also voted against impeaching Nixon.
