And so we will never learn about Bert’s economic plan. It’s probably better than the tired bromides we constantly hear from the “experts.”

I am disappointed that Mr. Miller drew the flags on the mailboxes upside down. Good ’toon though.

And of course it’s the guy in the blue collar slave quarters that can tell you how taxing the top 1% is evil, and that he’s just waiting for the trickle down to catch up with him and he can take off for that Aruba vacation.

thehag: With some. Those that have no obvious up or down (vertical tricolors, for instance) tie a knot in the lower corner. There are some (like Texas) with an obvious up and down, but are frequently displayed wrong by the ignorant – or maybe it is because “the only lege we’ve got” doesn’t know which way is up either.

Romney’s plan= more tax cuts for the rich($350,000 average) and a tax hike on the middle class($4500 average).

I don’t flag trolls, I ignore them, (mostly!). I figure it’s a way to keep track of the logic (?) of the right. They do all kind of think and act alike.don’t they?…….

@Night-Gaunt49Your post was terrific.Would like to suggest that real thought be given by those in alignment with your outlook to a third party candidate in the mold of Eugene V. Debs. Of course, the difficulty is in ever finding such a principled man, and then ever getting same any media coverage and entry into presidential debates. Seems like a dream never to be realised. Not to mention that Citizens United was never around in his time. Wikipedia has a great profile on Eugene V. Debs, and then in the profile, clicking on Socialist Party of America goes into some great detail.Socialism , like liberalism, has been made into a dirty word, folks, but it ain’t.

Anathema to capitalist uber-wealthy types.To quote Eugene V. Debs:

“Jesus Christ was the greatest socialist the world has ever seen”.

Guess that’s why the elites of his time did what they did. A bit of a threat to the status quo back then, but no greater example of what we should all aspire to has ever been known.(Not a religious spiel , but aimed at spirituality, common to all beliefs.)

Bert must be a Democrat. GOP doesn’t have a plan; and No, “No No No” doesn’t count… :)

Obama is by no means perfect. He has done a lot I do not approve of. But, at the time there was a budget bill being held hostage by a Reep filibuster. He never had complete control of the congress,EVER. The reeps blocked him and he did not have a super majority of 60 votes to break a filibuster. Perhaps after Nov. the American people will vote their own best interest and get enough Dems in the Senate to over ride reep resistance.
