You will all loose a lot of weight now, working two jobs, no overtime, no vacations, no safety standards, less money for food, walk to work because you can’t afford gas.

the money spent on this election to keep walker’s job was 30+ million. what happens in 2014? will walker need 35 million, 40, 50, a billion? what happens when wi deficits happen under his watch? and, don’t say it won’t happen. and, why do people hate unions so much? and, even the word union gets a vile response from many people.

Spot on, Clay. A greater majority of those who voted for Walker had no education beyond high school. The working poor, because they don’t have collective bargaining are upset because other groups worked hard and made the effort to assure themselves a better future.

Instead of whining " teachers get benefits and pensions and I don’t, therefore they shouldn’t have those things", a more productive attitude might be,

“how come I DON’T have those things? Why cant ALL workers make a decent living?”

People are so trod upon by our (not so) “free market” that they can’t even begin to see that in a free country, with a FAIR market system that doesn’t have a thirty year history of being destroyed by dribble-down economic policy, they SHOULD be able to make a decent, middle class living that could lift society as a whole.

Instead, they’d rather tear down those who have been able to accomplish those things. They also dont see the investment potential for society when things like education and infrastructure are funded.

    Very sad.

I suppose that if Obama wins in November, that Clay will use a similar cartoon as this to explain it do ya think? Cartoonists ought to be able to write an essay explaining the objectivity of their simple-minded scribbling. I seriously doubt that Mr. Bennett would be able to do so…

BTW, FEDERAL workers cannot collectively bargain either. Why aren’t you obamabots screaming to high heaven about HIS ‘inhumanity?’

I’ve often wondered why management doesn’t unionize. Any ideas? Just imagine, the whole company, from the CEO down to the lowliest maintenance worker, part of the same union! Oh,forgot, maybe then (if the entire company were unionized) the union would have no purpose other then collect union dues? Pretty much what unions do now.

Exit polls show that 60% of the voters believe recalls should only be used in cases of official malfeasance. Given that, the chance of recall in this case was pretty much nil to begin with and doesn’t really tell us much about Walker’s actual approval.

It’s worth noting that what Walker did was effectively tear up the contract the state had with the unions. Apparently contract law doesn’t mean much in Wisconsin. That’s not a conservative position.

Nice try … when the government union members are making nearly twice what the public sector is making, there is a huge inequity.

Did ANYONE notice that the state is now in the black? They had a HUGE deficit and now they are in the black?

Does not THAT count for something?

And keep in mind, the unemployment numbers (since St. Ronnie Reagan, who dissolved the Air Traffic Controllers’ union PATCO) have not reflected the real unemployed, only those who haven’t given up looking. That means it’s really much worse than it looks. After five years of layoff, and three little one-or-two-month jobs (and only six months of Unemployment Insurance), I came eligible for SS and declared retirement. The FACTs are, if you are not in the 1% (and you won’t get in by asking nicely, please) you are skewered by the same spiral fastener. Two jobs, if you can find them, might get you by. Or find what skills you still have, and put them to use. Plant a Victory Garden or join a community plot garden (it’s never too late to plant, just better at the right times.) Help others however you can.

Then, let them do it. Did you notice that the NEA UNION membership went from 62,818 to 28,745 after the bill passed?

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304821304577436462413999718.html

    What does that tell you?

It tells me that MANDATORY union membership is totally unwanted.

Did you also notice that Wisconsin actually balanced the budget and now teachers are getting BONUSES???

    http://www.jdjournal.com/2012/01/03/teachers-in-northern-wisconsin-awarded-bonuses/

Tell THAT to your union thugs and ask them how the union helped them get bonuses!

Read my comments to lookinside. You union types refuse to read the FACTS! Calling conservatives worms is stupid.

Read the links and try coming up with FACTS.

Otherwise … stuff a dirty sock in it.
