Watching the transit makes your realize just how tiny our planets actually are. Venus IS only slightly smaller than Earth.(and .97 the density) The “big blue marble” isn’t that big, folks.

He who wants control of an environment to within ±1.5 degrees better get himself a marine aquarium and keep tropical fish. If the air gets uncomfortable for you, hop in! We less sissy organisms will learn to adapt, like we have for the past 3.5 billion years.

How can otherwise intelligent people deny the truth about global warming?

Must be the same thing that makes so many people voting against their own self interest and for the rich and powerful? Is positive thinking so wide-spread that they believe in upward mobility when a quick slide down the chute is the reality.

Hate to burst certain bubbles, but the Russian probe “Venera” did spy a Hummer parked on Venus! Comments?

People DID die before the invention of gunpowder. But a lot MORE died after, killed by human “activity”. Nuclear came along with the power to kill far more, and “peaceful” use has proven a tad problematic, ironically, again in Japan.

Seven billion “consumers” is also more of a problem than just having enough Wal Mart greeters helping them spend for MORE “products” they often don’t need.

You’re missing an important point. CO2 is what is driving AGW, not H2O. When we create H2O from fossil fuels or other sources, it doesn’t much affect the overall amount of H2O in the atmosphere, because it can only hold so much before precipitating (raining, for example).CO2, on the other hand, stays in the atmosphere for a long time, and is increasing, as we can measure.

But as the temperature increases, the air can hold more water vapor, so H2O amplifies the warming.water-vapor-greenhouse-gas

^AND, Venus has sulfuric acid in the atmosphere. Car engines kick out SO2 (sulfur dioxide) and rain is H2O. Put them together and you DO get H2SO4, yep, sulfuric acid, neat, huh? Saw the results once on a woman’s nylons, ooopsie! Parking lot chemistry lab!!

Harlequin is correct about water vapor. H as a gas is just that hydrogen. 02 as a gas is two molecules of oxygen. Water vapor is hydrogen and oxygen combined or H2O. it just goes to show you even a unique mind like harlequin’s can not be wrong 100% of the time.

“how much CO2 is put out by bad man”

The natural cycle adds and removes CO2 to keep a balance; humans add extra CO2 without removing any. human-co2

Every gallon of gas you burn creates 20 pounds of CO2.20 pounds of carbon dioxide
