Time for more speculation. If what fell out of the window was a ditto construct, where’s the real Flask? If it was the real Flask that fell out of the window, what happened to the body and all the shards of glass at the bottom? Obviously, it wasn’t a missile that blew up on Flask, because those are only now being launched. So, what did blow up – an explosive shell in the rifle? The rifle’s lithium battery? Or was it just part of the ditto illusion? Will Petey be able to make it back into the ship before Wally calls for the IET? And is the IET something the ship actually can do, or did Marx make that up to trick Wally into attacking Flask? Finally, could it just be that we’re all on Candid Camera?
Here’s a thought, though. What if the explosion was real, the broken window was real and Flask falling to the ground was real. What if Marx had an idea this would happen and commanded the dittos to wait on the ground just in case, with orders to hide Flask’s body from discovery by the Topsiders… (for later experimentation).
The 3rd panel. “under the circumstances”. What is that? words from talky Face? or were the TS’s speaking? It seems a bit off. Wally looks like he is in extreme pain. And cuts from the glass shards too.

I don’t believe Flask ever hit the ground. Look at panel 3 of yesterdays strip, Flask struck something that caused a splash effect to rise from a line through the panel. Below that line was the remainder of panel 3 with Flask’s shadow, thus Flask never reached the ground. That was why Petey looked confused.
