That “innocent” look on Hobbes’s face in the first panel is priceless!

Hobbes knew Calvin wouldn’t bother to read it.

If Hobbes were to do ALL of Calvin’s homework…the boy would be mistaken for a genius! Of course Calvin would give himself away in class.

First panel, Hobbes rocks. Oh boy! What an expression.This is the best Hobbes i have ever seen.

I wish a tiger could have done my homework for me. Hopefully, I would have taken the time to read it though.

This is one of the best descriptions of the writing process I’ve seen yet.

These get more satisfying every year. I just love Calvin’s full expression and his ability to have Hobbes be such a complete and equal character. I can learn something from him; I just know that he’s doing something special that real people can do too. (… with other real people, I mean)

Calvin’s incredible imagination finally earns him some accolades. Yay!

Well, “creative” is a pretty honest compliment when it comes to Calvin – that kid has one amazing imagination!

It’s time for Mrs. Wormwood to unleash Calvin. She’s been looking for strawberries in a gold mine. Set his creative juices free.Or somethiing like that.

After the New Yorker accepts this story, your second one can be the Noodle Incident. It could earn movie rights!

His biographer, muse, ghost writer and illustrator work while he sleeps, earn him an A+, and he is complaining?

Calvin should show his mom and dad! I bet they would be really happy!

I do miss C&H and sure wished Bill would come up with a new book every so often.But, it’s here and I’m enjoying it.

Sometimes things work out very well in spite of our efforts!

I always knew that Hobbes was real. This proves it!

Someone else did all the work and Calvin got all the credit . . . with an A+ and a compliment from Miss Wormwood no less! So why in the world is he complaining?! Just goes to show you can’t please some people no matter what you do!

I love angelic Hobbes (first & last panels) vs. Calvin meltdown and tirade through it all. Lordy i miss this strip.

Yes, Calvin did the actual work, but since he doesn’t remember doing the work (Can you say psychotic break? Good! I knew you could!), it’s the same as getting out of doing the work for Calvin. He should be pleased.

I just joined and was surprised to see some of these are Bill Watterson’s best works from years ago. But they still knock your socks off! Makes life worth living……Im just saying…..
