Fascinating trash. One wearing a hood associated (incorrectly) with south, but using “ha” from a second reagion, while getting a Maine acknowledgement from his buddy. Got to hand it to Rall, one picture, two lines, and put downs of three different groups.

So are most leading democrats.

Followed by “So I must take it from them and label them racist if they resist.”

This strip is another liberal racist piece. The issues have nothing to do with legal immigration and everything to do with illegal immigration, but racist liberals cannot see that they are two different things.

Since when did you have to be a citizen to be required to pay taxes?If you make the money in the US you pay taxes on it in the US.Which is how some of those BigBusinesses are getting out of paying taxes on a lot of their income. They make the money elsewhere and don’t bring it IN to the US; thus they don’t “need” to pay taxes on that income.(The tax laws are VERY unclear on how that works.)

I can see how you could interpret it that way, but I’m incline to think the pixs are from Rall. His recent drawings have seemed to me to take a very negative view of old John Q

3rd pane: Racist Ted Rall assumes that only white people were born in the USA. And that all blacks, hispanics, and asians are to be considered immigrants.

Once the 1% have turned us into a third world country there will be no need to immigrate, you ingrates.

I am of the left but I don’t give a tinker’s dam about this Savarin issue. Who cares, if he wants to leave, so what. This is such a non issue. I don’t think it has anything to do with xenophobia or racism. Rall might be going a little off the deep end here, although I think most of his other cartoons are clever.

Good lord, subtlety is wasted on most of you.There are still plenty of good ol’ boys & girls who don’t think think people of non-Western European descent aren’t “Real Americans”. The Republican party, backed by the 1% , encourages xenophobes to think the reason why taxes are high & they can’t get a good paying job is because of illegal immigration. But, the 1% don’t really want anything done about immigration. Cheap labor is in their best interest.This is why despite all of the talk, you’ll never see Republicans do anything realistic about illegal immigration. It’s easy to talk about border fences, but the actual cost of sealing our borders is more than it’s worth.

Probably because they assume they immigrated from Minnesota.

Where do the cheap nannies and gardeners come from?

A LOT of that “cheap labor” is from India, China, Germany, and other countries, and are folks with degrees, including graduate degrees. The fact that some dude takes the money, runs, and renounces citizenship, isn’t any worse than those who rake in the bucks, with “marginal” legality, then ship those profits to the Caymans, and claim to be “good citizens”.

Geez, if I suddenly came into a huge pile of money, especially if it were more than I need to live on the rest of my life, I’d go home too. I’m here for the money I EARN, not because it feels like home.

Ted Rall is wrong to associate skin color with immigration. But then, Ted is wrong most of the time.
