And they’ve been castrating and shackling them since it passed. Like well, gee, Scalia’s son and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

By the way, Matt did a good job re-thinking his cartoon from a few days ago. The point isn’t so different but this one gets much closer to the reality of what happened / is happening.

I finally had the difference between our two parties explained to me by an old government prof. The Republicans are bought by the bankers. The Democrats are just on a long term lease.

The Tea Party are the true RINOs, and should really split off into a separate party, just like thy Occupy movement should separate from the Democrats. True Republicanism is strictly about fiscal responsibility and independence, not moral or religious conservatism. We could get a lot more done on this country with more parties instead of just two vying for total control and painting every issue as black and white.

So yes, Ima, I would like to see more Tea Party victories, particularly in the House, but I also want to see some Occupy members elected, or at least other parties elected. We acually have a strong third party candidate in Maine in Angus King who stands a good chance of winning Olympia Snowe’s seat. I’d like to see some other states elect new blood to oust some other party hardliners on both sides.

Matt Taibbi at Rolling Stone has a very good (and well researched) article on “Dodd Frank”, and hits those responsible in both “parties”, telling exactly why the bill hasn’t really had any impact, because of the under-handed blockage of it. But, it IS “Wall Street” who doesn’t want ANY restraint on their dogs.

Regulation is not the answer! The worldwide crisis of overproduction is killing the capitalists’ ability to make profit. This has been the case since the early 1970s, and no liberal reformist schemes are going to fix it. We are approaching a fork in the road: Fascism/war/annihilation OR the working class taking state power and ending poverty, war, and capitalism forever. Mark my words! It will come to pass.

It is now known as “Occupy the Ballot” and is running candidates in various local and state elections. Name one? Our local election will feature Asher Platts as the occupy candidate for state senate. I don’t know much about him, so won’t actually be voting for him. Check your local election website to see who is actually running.
