Yeah I remember him, Sky King and Roy Rogers.

I was too old for the Captain, but I remember Bob Keeshan as Clarabell on Hoedy Doody and Corny the Clown.

Ah yes, good ol’ Captain Kangaroo and let’s not forget Mr. Greenjeans!

Mr. Greenjeans was super cool. His kids were in a band with Iggy Pop in the 70’s.

Captain Kangaroo beats out sponge bob rectangle pants hands down.

I watched two families wearing animal skin, driving in cars with rock wheels and no seatbelts with a dogasaur … I also watched a family where the wife stole her husbands wallet when he handed her $50.

To Olddog1: Should be Howdy Doody, not Hoedy Doody.

To Jkissmya: I agree Captain Kangaroo beats out Sponge Bob rectangle pants hands down. Captain Kkangaroo taught kids things. Songe Bob doesn’t.

To Whmill: I agree with what you say about TV today is mostly garbage.

I still think Sponge Bob looks like swiss cheese … in pants.

if you think today’s cartoons is garbage…..try watching prime time T V….

Well, Rhiannon, another thing different is that parents didn’t name thier kids Rhiannon!

I liked the Misters Rodgers and Wizard. Cap’t Kagna was kinda annoying imo, but not NEARLY as bad as the bugged eyed rectanuglar monstrosity. O/c I saw a old episode of He-Man on Netflix a few months ago and I don’t know how I could abide that so I guess kids have a higher tolerance level.

I grew an orange tree thanks to him. Tried a grapefruit, but it died. CBS did him dirty moving him to TOOOOOOOOOOO early! RIP. Bob.

Simpsonfan – Loved the commercial with Farfel, N-E-S-T-L-E-S, Nestles makes the very best Choooocolate! Paul Winchell was great. Cap’n Kangaroo & Mr. Greenjeans, also Princess Spring Summer Fall Winter from Howdy Doody! Robin Hood with Richard Greene and Captain Midnight!
