The government should be afraid of it’s citizens, not the other way around.

doesn’t this mean that conservatives liken themselves to the romans when they crucify jesus? if so, they have an existential issue.

FWIW, I’m an Atheist. The only god we have is the higher power of humans working together. Our Synergy.

Looking at the teachings and actions of Christ and the beliefs of the Republican/Tea Party leadership, Jesus would be smeared and condemned by the hard right.Do on to others? Swords into plowshares? Feeding the hungry? Healing the sick? Ministering to the poor???? Sounds like some dirty dim-lib hippy.

Jesus also recognized the “old rules” on being your brother’s keeper, even if that meant in chains as a slave. Not everything he came up with was “goodie two shoes”. Which is why his supposed “followers” find it so easy to shaft their neighbors, and feel “good” about it.

I don’t recall “uphold and defend the Status Quo” being part of the Presidential Oath. Maybe you confuse the Constitution with the interests of Mega Corps, Wall Street banks and venture capitalists.

    “Unlike the liberal religion….”

What kind of religion is that? ….Just curious…. I’m tolerant of others’ religion, even if I don’t agree with it. After all, part of being American is being that way and having the Freedom to worship the Creator/trix as one sees fit.

After all, each and every one of us views Religion in a unique way, even if one goes to Church/Synagogue/whatever to worship because each Human is unique.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go dye some eggs…. not for “Easter”, but because it’s Spring – the time of Renewal! goes off humming “The Mummer’s Dance” by Loreena McKennitt

God the Son planned before creation of the world ( because God is Omniscient and knows the future) to come the First time to be God’s sacrificial Lamb to atone for mankind’s sin.-When the Lord Jesus Christ comes the Second time, He will come as King of Kings to rule earth from Jerusalem.-the only “successful leaders” among men are the ones the Sovereign God ordains for His own reasons.
