I heard that there are plenty of ‘rare earth’ substances over there and the Russians tried to get them, Americans tried to get them, but its likely the Chinese will.

The World still can’t make sense why the USA spend the equivalent of an annual national budget invading Iraq when the USA’s attackers came from Afghanistan. The problem there could have been fixed by injecting a week’s (or a month’s) worth of Iraqi War funds into Afghani economy and infrastructure building. .Astonishing and embarrassing display of diplomatic, international and historic ignorance. And don’t let anyone say that the USA was not warned! Allies like the French were complaining about arrogance, and the Germans were complaining about belligerence, and the USA renamed cooked potatoes “Freedom Fries”.

Air fuel bombs. Since they are so keen on killing themselves, just pull out and cleanse the country with air fuel bombs.

Wow, the perfect solution to our ballooning national debt. Just hire you as a consultant and do away with the CIA, FBI, the military, Justice department, State department, the three branches of government, et. al. since you know everything and have all the answers.

Jon Ormsbee raises a very valid point. Viet Nam, Iraq, Afghanistan, even little Grenada (off the coast of Venezuela in that “oil region”), have found the U.S. at war for resources. A nation with ZERO natural resources, faces no danger from our military industrial complex, serving the corporate crowd.

As opposed to when Bush/Cheney decided that they didn’t want the war that they had, so they started the war that they wanted?
