…. and Maher was forced off the air a decade ago. Good luck to Rush on his HBO or Sirius show, whenever his spewing puts him in the same position.

Or the left just doesn’t care to listen to someone who spews bull day after day like Rush, Glenn, Sean etc.

I listened to Maher once or twice and I thought he was stupid and self-absorbed and not funny at all and I never listened to him again. If he called Palin a nasty name, that’s bad. I say to the right, he’s fair game, but don’t think that everyone on the left likes him.

I never listened to Maher. But there’s no equivalency between insulting a politician running for high office (everyone does that) and slandering a private citizen who is just expressing a perfectly reasonable opinion.

Not good either, but I’m not familiar with that incident. What are you refering to?

Ok, if you can’t come up with anything that can stand the scrutiny of a public forum, don’t blame me if I don’t see the need to condemn Letterman.

Very good, Runnels. Expose yourself again. Just don’t expect anyone to actually watch, God knows no one needs to see THAT!

As for Maher, he’s just another little guy with a really big nose and an even bigger mouth. Now, this limits his career options. He can either occupy the drum kit in a Beatles tribute band, or emulate the President of Iran. Obviously, Maher chose to pose like Ahmadinajad.

@runnels: google “bill maher sarah palin c*nt”, or similar.Looks like you share the media’s blind spot for disgusting misogynistic behavior – when it’s done by liberals. The point of this cartoon is that when Maher made public sexist comments much worse than anything Limbaugh said, Obozo made no public denunciations, offered no condolence phone calls – and still took one million bucks of Maher’s money! Talk about rank hypocrisy.

@jimathai: welcome to the Disgusting Misogynistic Liberal Oral Diarrhea club. Bill Maher and Ed Schultz must be so proud. So by your logic, if Rush called Nancy Pelosi a “slut”, you’d have been perfectly okay with it, cuz she’s a public figure, right? If he’d said Michelle Obama was a “c*nt”, you wouldn’t have criticized him at all, correct?Oh I forgot – liberal misogyny is okay, because your Motives are Pure.

Speaking from the left, I see no reason to defend Maher’s nasty characterization of Palin. It’s a cheap shot with very little meaning. There are lots of funny things to say about Palin — she’s such a fool that she inspires humor — and there’s no need to descent to ugly insults. Good clean insults do the job just fine.

I assume that all you good people on the right are likewise critical of Rush’s comments.

@onguardI think obama’s actions are OUTSTANDING. in the face of overwhelming opposition from the republicans to save some bush legacy, and the opposition from the left who think he is not left enough he has:

-enacted a healthcare bill that needs fixing, but it’s a change of direction from letting a few wealthy CEO’s and board members of health insurance companies unilaterally enrichen themselves while denying ratepayers services.-Got us out of iraq, no small feat.-stuck his neck out, with no support from anyone and saved detroit, which has come back stronger and better than ever before. and heavy manufacturing IN this country is essential for our national security. who would we buy our weapons for the next inevitable GOP war from?-is not in a headlong rush to rubber stamp environmental disasters like the pipeline, he wants to move in a deliberative fashion.-he has decimated the upper tier of al-quada and killed osama bin laden-he took office when the country was in the midst of a financial meltdown the likes we hadn’t seen since the great depression, and in spite of the opposition has managed to get it back on track.

i’m impressed. and to think i didn’t really like him.

Still would like to know what Letterman said about a 14/16 year old girl. I suspect it was humor. Conservatives, with their limited brain power, have trouble distinguishing between genuine insults, and humor.

Like I said before, if no-one is willing to explain what those comments are, don’t blame “liberals” like me if we don’t condemn Letterman. I might be willing to condemn him if I knew what those comments were. But you act like you don’t want me to agree with you. You would rather hate and insult.

Why do you cast aspersions on Letterman (and me) if you aren’t even willing to tell me what his comments were? Is that what you call intelligent? That’s modus operandi for conservatives, just insult and make idiotic arguments without any facts to back them up.
