Pedant mode on…actually there are helicopters with ejection seats that work quite well…Pedant mode off.

And the timing would have to be carefully calibrated to the weight of the person being ejected…

I’m sure seal team 6 has one………….

Used to get out of choppers(!) a thousand or 800 feet…the normal way, out the door…? that blowdown made for a quick #$&!! trip…no time for popping the reserve…that ‘ejection seat’ MUST be sideways.

Yes, most helicopter ejection seats eject sideways, out the side doors. I understand there are a few designs that used to eject forwards through the front of the cockpit, but I don’t know if they are still in use.

Some russian designed helicopters use ejection seats with explosive bolts in the rotor head to release the rotor blades prior to seat actuation.

U.S. military helicopters do not use ejection seats. Pilots use auto-rotation with the stored energy in the rotors to land safely in case of engine failure, or power loss. Catastrophic engine failure means all bets are off!

I love Bucky and Sachel, esp. years ago when Sachel lost

his watch and eventually Bucky went down in the sewer ? to get it for him, cause Sachel was so sad! Bucky occasionally needs to do that. Come on Darby, at least make him human (sic) sometimes!

NASA/Army required Sikorsky to include a blade pyrotec system to cut off five blades and eject three seats in the Rotor Systems Research Aircraft. The system was qualified during sled tests from ZERO to 300 MPH but NEVER used. (Would a pilot have really used it?)

I wonder, does he sometimes imcatate other cats?

Does he catalise his sleeping drawer? (I don’t like to think what that might mean!)

Does he adopt different catas in different situations?

Does he have a split catality?

Does he catify objects and concepts?

Does he speak in the first cat singular?

Is he catable?

I can just see the wheels turning in panel three and his revenge is so cat.

I think he should take this like a feline and throw a hissy fit.

But upchucking in his shoes works too.

Revenge is coming. Our big orange Tabby, Chester, once used my daughter’s shoe as a potty to get revenge when she had a sleep-over and he lost his sleeping place of honor on the foot of her bed.

The cat version of revenge. To get your attention…. sit on the head, mess with the shoes, the bed, the toothbrush, anything that is Pinky’s.
