Did Jeebus actually say ANYTHING about contraception either? Lord knows he said nothing against gays…or shrimp.

Get your church out of my pharmacy! and government! I wouldn’t use a guy who got twelve men to leave their families to “hang around with the guys” as an example for an “anti-gay” crusade. Now a “I hate women, but still want to own them”??

This looks like a “Mike Lester” cartoon, check the upper-right-hand corner. The drawing is more crude than what the Lisa does.

Like a great leader, Obama was able to find a sutible compromise. And like a bunch to tools, the CONservatives are STILL whining. Ignoring the fact that they have done more to offend religous liberties then Obama ever will

1st, this isn’t a Lisa toon…GoComics made a mistake (see the signature?). 2nd, Jesus wasn’t a hippocrit nor a millionaire, so I don’t agree that President Obama represents the teachings of Christ.

In Mathew 22:21 Jesus says, "Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s” Then who sorts the wheat from the chaff, Caesar or, based on each of their individual or collective Godly interpretations, his subjects? Or is it as Paul writes in Romans 13:1 "Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God and those which exist are established by God.” This implies that we should obey government laws. Besides, how can any entity traffic in “Caesar’s coins,” thus receiving unto to them the benefits of Caesar’s rule and not refuse to obey his laws? Or is it in the end that Acts 5:29 rules, "We ought to obey God rather than men,” and thus do nothing that “our” religion or personal religious belief tells us is antichrist? Hence, any law of Caesar (Government) which opposes the “Lord’s” command is without merit and therefore every Christian should deny it. My, my, my, what doors do we open? Would there be any rule of law, secular or theocratic, that would not come under someone’s protest? It would seem that we can all accept the rule of law and then continue to work to change, to include civil disobedience, those things we do not like about our current laws or that we can revert to revolution and anarchy and so give invite to becoming our own Somalia. I vote for the arduous and often slow democratic process of change, for I have seen the abomination of revolution and anarchy.

too many posters MISS THE POINT that Obama tried to COMMAND faith-based providers to disobey GOD and the teachings of Bible scriptures. I think Benson does an excellent exposure of Obama’s total unbelief in God the Son who can and does miracles…..without “stilts” that phony poser Obama uses.-next, Obama does the UNCONSTITUTIONAL command to order private insurance companies to provide FREE abortion services…..FREE contraceptives…in policies that FAITH-based providers will be forced to pay for in increased premiums. By either strategy, Obama is acting by being unconstitutional.

thank you Bruce for posting the truth straight from scripture that God (Father, Son/Jesus, and Holy Spirit) are opposed to homosexual activities all through the Old and New Testaments…66 books. Satan inspires blasphemers to “invent” a sinful Jesus and a mere human Jesus….perverting clear and understandable scriptures.

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/deaconsbench/2012/02/new-polls-catholics-favor-birth-control-in-health-care-coverage/You mean these polls?Obama didn’t have to compromise because the majority was behind him. He also has to know by now that no matter what he does, CONservatives will say its wrong. That being said, the compromise works, and its fun watching CON’s try to contort themselves to try (and fail) to make Obama look like the bad guy

Oh, and I’m supposed to follow the moral example of your god? Killing is immoral, yet he whiped all but 8 people off the face of the earth (lets ignore how mind bogling it is that 8 people became 7 billion thousands of years later, without the ill effects of inbreeding). And hitler dosn’t quite help your case. If god is the center of all that is moral, why was he allowed by your god to do what he did? Some great plan? Why did he do it at all? He made a choice (can’t help but notice you left out “rule of law to keep people in line”). And what about catholic priests. Holy men molesting little boys. Is that moral? The Westborro Baptist Church. Another example of christian morality? These people made a choice. The spanish inquisition, people killed because they wern’t christian (so much for christians letting people think for themselves). The crusades, The salem witch trials, ECT. How moral was all of that? Atheism may not have a definate basis in morality, but its a hell of alot better then the alternative. Now I understand people like you need religon as a crutch, questions in life are to big to be answered so you fall on a book that just says “don’t worry, don’t think, goddidit”. Me? I don’t need to know everything. I don’t need to keep track of who I hate, and why. (Don’t give me any of that “christian love” garbage, I have seen nothing but hate from people like you). Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate all christians. Just people like you. The ones who think freedom of religon means “freedom of MY religon, and to hell with anyone else”. The ones who think we should base our laws around your book, dispite what the constitution says.

i thought the coathanger on obama’s head was pretty interesting too. after all, it’s the church and it’s agents that want to force women back to ‘back-alley’ abortions.

    certainly not obama.

No, you see it DOSN’T fit. God instructed noah to build the ark, and was pretty specific (even going so far as to demand it be coated with pine tar to seal it up. But felt the need to defend it any way. Either the boat wasn’t as sturdy as who ever did those tests thought it was, or god underestimated his own strength, which dosn’t do much for those who defend his “omnipotence”. And as someone who believes in evolution, I know there were not 8.7 million kinds of animals 5 thousand years ago (or however long you claim it was), but even if it was only 4,000 individual species (and I am WAAAAAAAY low balling that) it would still be imposible for 8 people to care for those animals. “Variation within a created kind would have allowed for the many species we see today. Do not underestimate the ability of the genome to contain the potential for incredible variety within a pair of individuals”That sounds like evolution talk to me. :)And the problem with your deffence of the bible is, even if it did claim it was a sphere, the length quote I posted above would come back to light. Hell would still be longer then the earth. Hell is supposedly below ground, so it still would have to be smaller.“No amount of evidence will ever convince someone who CHOOSES not to believe.”On that, we aggree. But I’m not one to give up so easily. So I’m gonna keep plugging along untill I actually convince you, or you walk away, and I have no reason to post (please don’t do that, I love arguing.)
