NASA has always been plagued with budgetary problems from politicians with no vision.

And what’s the advantage of using a dirigible to go to Antarctica instead of an airplane?

Thanks to Trucker Ron and David yesterday. I will save the link for another out of town project. I wonder if extreme cold affects the dirigible operation.

Doesn’t need a runway to land either.

Doesn’t need to land to deliver supplies either, just a good winch in the cargo hold. In fact the Navy airships USS Akron and the USS Macon both carried five airplanes each, which could be launched and recovered while the dirigibles were in flight.

He didn’t have to sneak. He’s staff!
